Chicago Tribune Endorses First Democratic Nominee in 161-Year History

Since its founding in 1847 The Chicago Tribune has endorsed every Republican candidate for President. Until yesterday.

On Nov. 4 we’re going to elect a president to lead us through a perilous time and restore in us a common sense of national purpose.

The strongest candidate to do that is Sen. Barack Obama. The Tribune is proud to endorse him today for president of the United States

To bad nobody reads papers anymore or this would probably be big news.

Another in a long line of traditionally conservative noise-makers that are running, screaming in utter disbelief, from McCain and his obtuse selection for VP.
