The Choice 2008

by Brendan Melican on October 15, 2008

Caught the majority of Frontlines “The Choice 2008″ last night and would recommend it as required viewing for anyone who considers themselves well versed in either McCain or Obama. The biography’s of these two men are simply astounding and as leaders both have had amazing careers, which is sometimes easy to forget with all the late season spin in high gear.
I don’t think it would be possible for anyone to watch this and not learn something new about both candidates. In fact, I defy you to try.

I agree it was a great special

Frontline. Almost always great. They’ve been doing these candidate profile specials for something like 20 years and they are always illuminating. Fair and balanced like FOX could never be.

I caught it last night. Who would’ve known that Obama harbors an intense, burning hatred of Peurto Ricans? Or that John McCain could fire and glaze a piece of freshly sculpted pottery with his mind?

It’s an amazing special.

NPR did the last two days with specials on Obama and Monday and Tuesday on McCain. Both seem interesting.
